Detached, very private, villa high above the picturesque and unspoilt Sa Riera Bay. From the villa and the newly constructed pool there are wonderful views of the sea and surrounding hillside and it is possible to walk down to the beach via the cliff steps (but beware of the climb back up! ) or by car in a couple of minutes. There are a couple of bars and restaurants around the beach area and within five minutes drive you reach the historic town of Begur with its main square often hosting an outdoor market, many restaurants and bars with a truly Spanish atmosphere. The larger town of Palafrugell is a short drive with good shops and an excellent Sunday market.

Villa 231, Mas Mato, Sa Riera,  Begur

Detached villa with swimming pool in a peaceful, attractive setting above Sa Riera Bay. From the villa and pool there is a wonderful view of the sea and surrounding hillside and it is possible to walk down to the beach via the cliff steps but it is a stiff walk back up and unlikely that the less mobile or fit would wish to do it.  However, just a couple of minutes by car and there is usually not a problem parking. Sa Riera is an unspoilt bay with a couple of bars and restaurants and a very well stocked small supermarket.  You could, in effect, spend a wonderful two weeks at this villa and not go any further afield.  This would, however, be a great mistake as you would miss the delights of  the historic town of Begur (approx. 1k) with its main square often hosting an outdoor market, many restaurants and bars with a truly Spanish atmosphere. The larger town of Palafrugell is a short drive with good shops and an excellent Sunday market.
